How does it work?

Courses delivered by exisiting training providers

In this model, existing providers deliver the training but the skills academy works with them to develop learning materials and approaches.

Example: The National Skills Academy for Manufacturing

The National Skills Academy for Manufacturing concentrates on developing innovative and appropriate curricula for manufacturing training providers. For example, it has worked closely with Derby College and the Rolls-Royce Centre of Vocational Excellence to deliver Level 2 NVQs in Business Improvement Techniques. The skills academy is also helping to raise standards for teachers and assessors in the industry.
