Over time, the skills academies will form closer links with schools, to get in at ‘ground level’ and influence the pattern of teaching for the employees of tomorrow.
National Skills Academies also want to reach groups, such as older workers, who currently face obstacles in accessing skills training. This will broaden the base of recruitment for employers and ensure that our workforce truly reflects the talent and diversity of our population as a whole.
