National Skills Academy for Railway Engineering
To address the future skills needs of the UK railway industry, a group of leading organisations across the industry has come together to develop a National Skills Academy for Railway Engineering (NSARE).
NSARE received Government approval on 17 March 2010 and was officially launched by Transport Secretary Andrew Adonis at an event at the Institution of Mechanical Engineers on 30 March 2010. NSARE now moves into a detailed business planning stage with the aim of commencing operations in 2011.
The Railway Industry Association is the lead promoter of the project, on behalf of a cross-industry steering group.
